Program

Cagliari (3 nights)

Day 1 - Wed, Oct 26

Arrival in Cagliari airport and transfer to hotel at an hour to be established once everyone’s flight schedules are in. We recommend you book a flight that lands in the early afternoon (2pm – 4pm) as there will only be limited transfers to hotel. If you remain within our suggested time slot you can avoid having to wait at the airport for a long time if you arrive too early (or having to reach the hotel by your own means if you arrive too late). Check into rooms and freshen up. When everyone’s checked into hotel, Claudio and Marco will lead a walk to visit Sardinia's capital, its lively waterfront, colorful alleyways and formidable hilltop citadel. Dinner in town.

After breakfast take a boat ride to explore Cagliari's coast, Cala Giunco: a long strip of white sandy beach wedged between tropical azure waters, and a lagoon where pink flamingos congregate in spring. To the north, hills covered with Mediterranean scrub rise on the blue horizon. If it's warm enough you can even go for a dip. Have lunch on the boat. Return to the town center in the afternoon where you can continue to explore Sardinia's largest city.
